1990 – Joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Foreign Affairs Officer, 1993-2009 assigned to the Embassy of Botswana in Washington DC, USA and Embassy of Botswana in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia respectfully. While in Addis Ababa, he also served as Senior Political Advisor to the AU Mission for Somalia (AMISOM). 2009-2012 he was appointed Deputy Senior Private Secretary to the Vice President and subsequently, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2012-2014. He served as Head of Secretariat, Presidential Inspectorate Task Team, Office of the President from 2016-2018 and later appointed Permanent Secretary, Botswana Government Communications and Information Systems, office of the President, until his assumption of duty in Germany, January 2024.
