Lady Ambassadors as guests at KPM
On the edge of Berlin's Tiergarten, the traditional company Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur (KPM) maintains an exclusive design hotel embedded in an ensemble of buildings of the historic porcelain manufactory. KPM Managing Director Tobias Berghäuser and Dr Irene Ernst, publisher and CEO of the Diplomatisches Magazin, invited a group of international ambassadors to Berlin in June for an exclusive afternoon at the Porzellan-Manufaktur. During a guided tour of the exhibition, the diplomats learned interesting facts about the more than 250-year history of the traditional house, about the art and craft of porcelain production, about masterful product icons such as the Kurland service and contemporary KPM design products such as the coveted coffee-to-go mugs, which are also decorated with the KURLAND border. Live music, exquisite delicacies and first-class wines on the hotel's rooftop allowed the day to end on a lively note.
