Relaxing in the presidential suite
A warm welcome for the new Ambassadors
For 10 years now, it has been a good tradition for Diplomatisches Magazin and the Waldorf Astoria to regularly invite newly accredited ambassadors to Berlin to a reception in Berlin's most beautiful presidential suite at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. On February 28, many new ambassadors accepted the invitation.
And it is also a good tradition for all guests to do what they do best in a relaxed atmosphere: Networking. Of course, this time there was also a small “palace tour” through the noble presidential suite with the magnificent view over Berlin, which is just about to awaken from hibernation. Although it was not possible to see the many daffodils and colourful crocuses from a great height, spring is unmistakably in the air.
The ambassadors enjoyed the little relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, which brought with it additional appointments in the run-up to the International Tourism Exchange (ITB).
