Medical Reception at Waldorf Astoria Berlin
A joint event organised by visitBerlin, Waldorf Astoria and Diplomatisches Magazin
For the second time, visitBerlin, in cooperation with Waldorf Astoria, invited doctors from the Berlin Health Excellence initiative to a meeting with representatives of the embassies. During a relaxed get-together in the cosy atmosphere of the library, topics relating to the treatment of international patients were addressed. Every year, around 20,000 patients from all over the world come to Berlin for medical diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. Their medical concerns are looked after by the highly specialised doctors, the administrative processes are supported by the international offices of the Berlin clinics. At Waldorf Astoria, international patients and their travelling companions receive special care. Their booking is handled very flexibly, as the patient may have to stay longer or be discharged earlier. For longer stays, relatives, often with children, need additional ideas for a pleasant stay in Berlin. The concierge service can also help with the organisation of transport or the collection of medication.
As the official tourism organisation visitBerlin cooperates with hospitals such as Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Helios, Meoclinic, Sporthopaedicum, Johannesstift Diakonie, Medical Park and maintains the website www.berlin-healthexcellence. com. There the medical specializations of the hospitals and doctors and the direct contact details of the international offices can be found.
