Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania –
A summer’s evening on 6 July 2026

06.07.2026
On 6 July, the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Representation hosted a summer party in its garden to mark this special anniversary, under the theme ‘25 Years of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Representation’ – 25 Years as a Home Port in Berlin.

As every year, it was once again an important gathering for representatives from the worlds of politics, business, culture and the diplomatic corps. Guests used the reception as an opportunity to strengthen existing contacts and forge new networks. In her address, Manuela Schwesig, Minister-President of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, emphasised the state’s international orientation and its significance as a hub for the maritime economy, tourism, renewable energy and science. The festival also provided an opportunity to experience the cultural diversity and hospitality of Germany’s north-easternmost federal state. Regional specialities and an atmospheric programme of events created the perfect setting for in-depth discussions. The summer festival impressively underlined Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania’s role as a cosmopolitan federal state that fosters international dialogue and actively promotes exchange with the diplomatic corps in Berlin.
