Doha is especially known for its futuristic architecture alongside ancient Islamic buildings. Despite its state-of-the-art infrastructure, it lacks the glamorous glitz of other major Arab cities. The extremely respectful treatment of women is striking. Qatar is an increasingly attractive destination for global tourism.
