Peru – Fiestas Patrias

28.07.2026

The Peruvian Ambassador, H.E. Augusto A. Scheuch, welcomes the guests

To mark the Republic of Peru’s National Day, the Peruvian Ambassador, H.E. Augusto A. Scheuch, hosted a festive reception at the Hotel Melia on Friedrichstraße on 28 July 2026.

Numerous guests from the diplomatic, political, business, cultural and social spheres accepted the invitation, thereby underlining the close and friendly relations between Peru and Germany.
In his address, the Ambassador paid tribute to his country’s democratic development and Peru’s diverse potential. He particularly emphasised economic cooperation, cultural exchange and the importance of sustainable development. Peru offers tourists an extraordinary variety of attractions – from the Andes to the Amazon and the Pacific coast – and is one of the most biodiverse countries on earth.
The reception offered guests the opportunity for informal conversations in a pleasant atmosphere. Culinary specialities and, of course, the traditional Pisco Sour, as well as artistic performances, conveyed an authentic impression of the rich culture of this South American country and made the afternoon a successful celebration of international friendship.
