Sidi Aly, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Federal Republic of Germany, arrived in Berlin on 11 June 2026.

He was previously Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Republic of Tunisia.

He served as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Spain.

He was furthermore Representative of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.

Sidi Aly has also held the posts of Deputy Director of the Office of the President of the Republic and Director-General of the National Foundation for the Protection of Historic Towns in Mauritania.

Sidi Aly has participated in several forums and conferences on international diplomacy, the challenges of globalisation, mediation methods and the resolution of international conflicts.

By virtue of his academic background (including a postgraduate doctorate in political science and international relations), Sidi Aly is a specialist in international relations.
